A New Day: Week 4

So...I decided that I would post this week to give me a fresh start for my new biweekly schedule.  As you know last week was a bad week for me.  I realize that I get very discouraged when the numbers on the scale go up, but I know that it's a pretty accurate reflection of what I do during the two-week periods.  As you may have read in the last post, I get "scale happy," so we have decided to weigh every fourth Sunday of the month instead of every two weeks, but I will still post every two weeks about the good, bad, and downright ugly!  I am looking at every day like it's a new day from here on out.  If I succumb to negative temptation, I'll dust myself off and one more time to be better than the days before!

Cheat meal: Yesterday, I called myself making a healthier choice while taking my Goddaughter and little cousin to lunch at Applebee's.  I ordered a quesadilla burger with a side salad.  That meal within itself was over 1500 Calories almost all of my daily calories allowance. I was sure it couldn't be more that 700, but that's the reason why I USUALLY check the nutritional information on food before I order it! Needless to say I didn't have anything else to eat last night, not because of the Calories.  I just wasn't hungry.  But then...it hit me!  I had stomach pains like something was scraping my intestines.  This was a very intense version of the very subtle pain I usually get when I take metformin, but yeah.  Needless to say, I will NOT eat another quesadilla burger ever in my life!!!

So I've dropped (-6.6) pounds of the 8 I gained last week, and as of this morning I am down 2.6 lbs loss into my goal of losing 50 lbs.

February 28----(2.6 lbs loss) overall 47.4 to go  ( wrote this yesterday, but I got on  the scale this morning and I am down another 1.4 lbs which I'll just include in my next weigh-in.)

I have decided that no matter how much I lose/gain, I will always be transparent as a way to hold myself accountable.  This is only a very small part and the beginning of my overall goal to lose 100+ pounds.  There is no looking back only moving forward with all of the victories and defeats.  As long as I am at least one step ahead of where I began, it's progress

I wanted to also talk about how I have decided to reward myself WHEN I hit my goal.  I have decided that I am going to throw myself a 30th birthday party!!! I'm trying to think of something to do that will be fun for adults and children (because most of my friends will have children by that time) or adults only.  I'm trying to pick a "theme," and I'd like for you to help me, so if you have a second please go here to vote or leave me a comment if you have additional ideas! You can vote for as many as you'd like!

'Til next time!
